Certificates of Completion
Corsizio provides you with the ability to offer Certificates of Completion after the event has ended to attendees who have paid in full (if applicable). These certificates are auto-generated and sent via Corsizio to attendees that you select. The certificates can be configured in several ways, which will be described below.
NOTE — It is not possible to upload your own certificates to Corsizio for use with your events. If the basic auto-generated certificate offered via Corsizio is not satisfactory for your needs, you will need to create and grant your own custom certificates outside of Corsizio.

Configuring Certificates of Completion by Account
STEP 1: From your Corsizio dashboard, go to the account Settings, then select Configurations, and then Certificate Setup from the left side menus.
STEP 2: Enable the certificate feature by checking the box "Enable the certificate of completion feature for this account" and choose whether you would like to enable the "Prompt to grant and send certificate when taking attendance" option.
STEP 3: Go through the Override Labels & Colors section to configure the look and content of the certificate. This will apply to all certificates for the account, and the options you see are all that is possible.
STEP 4: Use the "Preview sample" to see what your certificate will look like to your attendees.
STEP 5: When you have finished the configuration, "Save certificate setup".

The attendee name and the event name will be generated automatically for each certificate.
- You can customize the certificate's title and subsequent lines of information with your own terminology.
- You can add an event subtitle or use this area for any other pertinent information you want to show on the certificate, right below the event name. Generally, you should leave this event subtitle account-wide setting blank and override it per event (see instructions in the event-specific section below).
- Image files must be a JPG, PNG, or GIF, and be under 5MB.
- For best results upload a PNG format with a transparent background so it can blend in perfectly with the background of the certificate.

Optional Event-Specific Configuration
STEP 1: Ensure that you have configured and enabled the account-wide Certificate of Completion feature in the account Settings, as described in the "Configuring Certificates..." section above.
STEP 2: Go to the event for which you need to customize the certificate, and as part of Step 5 — Filters & Settings, you will see the auto-enabled option to "Customize some Certificate of Completion settings for this event" by adding an "Event subtitle" on the certificate.
- For example, you can use this space for the specific event certificate to include the contact hours or level attained, if this information is not already part of the event title.
Granting Certificates of Completion
Certificates of completion can only be granted if:
- The event has already started or finished
- The attendee's registration does not have a pending payment amount on it
- You have enabled this feature from within the account Settings (described above)
Typically, you will want to use the aggregated attendee list view when you need to grant certificates to most or all attendees in a particular event and the information panel to grant certificates to a specific or isolated attendee.
NOTE — Certificates should be granted to one attendee at a time for due diligence, but certificates can also be granted to many attendees at once from within the event attendees list, as described below.
Grant one certificate at a time
To grant a certificate to one attendee at a time, follow these steps:
STEP 1: From your Corsizio dashboard, locate the attendee that you want to grant and send a certificate to. You can do this in one of several ways: use the search bar to find the attendee by name (easiest), search for the attendee from within your attendee list, or search for the attendee from within the event that they are registered to.
STEP 2: Open the attendee's registration record and use the Actions dropdown menu to choose Grant a completion certificate. This will open a popup window with some options for you.
STEP 3: Toggle the Grant function and select the date to be printed on the certificate.
STEP 4: Proceed to Save Changes, which will provide you with several options. You can send the certificate by email immediately via Corsizio, you can view the certificate, and you can download the certificate.
STEP 5: When you are finished, Close the popup window.
Grant many certificates at once
To grant a certificate to many attendees in an event at the same time, follow these steps:
STEP 1: From your Corsizio dashboard, locate the event for which you need to grant a certificate for and select its Attendees list.
STEP 2: From the Actions menu near the top, select Grant certificates to attendees. This will open a popup window to grant certificates in bulk.
STEP 3: Select which attendees should get the certificate. You can select all, select some, or deselect some attendees as you need. Some attendee checkboxes might be disabled, preventing you from granting a certificate due to the attendee's status. For example, they may have been canceled, on a waiting list, or have already been sent a certificate for that event.
STEP 4: Use the Grant and send now button to finalize and send all certificates.
NOTE — You can choose to filter the attendee list before choosing to grant certificates, and the filtered list will match and be reflected in the grant certificates popup window accordingly. If you have large events or attendees with varying statuses, you can always reduce the number of attendees on the list by filtering it first. For example, filter the list by attendees who have "Fully Paid" first, and then open the certificate popup window.
Benefits of Using Certificates of Completion
By granting your attendees certificates of completion, you are helping them honor and celebrate their achievements. Whether your attendees are adults or children, whether they are taking your events for personal or professional reasons, it provides a good feeling to have their efforts acknowledged and celebrated. When students make a commitment to register for and participate in a certain class, program, or event, they affirm their priorities and goals. These can be significant milestones on their personal and professional journeys, and further acknowledgment of that with an official certificate can go a long way.
Granting certificates of completion becomes even more important if your attendees are required to provide some form of documentation as proof of completion of a certain program to any third party. This can be for school, work, government, or other needs. A certificate of completion provides a digital and optionally physical record of the person's participation and achievement. It can be framed, displayed, or showcased for any of their personal or professional needs, such as illustrating their qualification in a specific area.
