Taking attendance

There are three ways you can keep track of attendance at your events while collecting your event registrations in Corsizio. These include:

  • Using the export of your class list method
  • Using the in-app attendance toggle method
  • Using the automated check-in code method

Export Class List Method

This method will provide you with a PDF document or a CSV spreadsheet that you can keep in its digital format or print out to take attendance physically during your event. You can generate this list after you finish accepting all registrations for your event by following these steps:

STEP 1: From your Corsizio dashboard, open the event for which you wish to take attendance. You can access the event from your Upcoming Events list or from the Events area in the main navigation menu or by using Search to locate it.

STEP 2: Select the Attendees tab that is found under the left-side Sections menu.

STEP 3: Open the Actions menu in the top-right area and select either the "CSV export of attendee data" or the "PDF export of attendee list" option from the exports area.

STEP 4: A popup window will open up with some configuration options for your export. Depending on your export choice, CSV or PDF, select the data and the layout version that best suits your needs for the download.

STEP 5: Finalize your export action by selecting "Download".

In-app Attendance Toggle Method

This method will allow you to mark attendance directly inside Corsizio. You can do it at the start or during your event if you have a computer or mobile device with internet access available so that you can log into your Corsizio account. Alternatively, you can toggle attendance after the event anytime. To use this method, follow these steps:

STEP 1: From your Corsizio dashboard, open the event for which you wish to take attendance. You can access the event from your Upcoming Events list or from the Events area in the main navigation menu or by using Search to locate it.

STEP 2: Select the Attendees list from the left-side menu.

STEP 3: If you want to mark each attendee as "Attended" one at a time, then go through the attendee list and turn on the Attended toggle as applicable. The toggle will change from grey to green to indicate that the person was present at the event.

STEP 4: If you would like to mark all attendees as present at once, open the Actions menu in the top-right area and select the option "Mark all as attended or absent." After, you can always unmark individually anyone who did not attend to speed up the process.

TIP — You can combine the export method with the toggle method and use both to keep track of attendance. First, use the export list to mark attendance during the event, and after the event, use the attendance toggles as per the attendance data from your export list.

Automated Check-In Code Method

This method will automatically mark as attended in Corsizio the people who were present at your event. This can be accomplished by following the help doc Attendee Check-In Page, which must be used for this method to work.

When attendees check into your event using either their scanned QR code or entered check-in code, their Attended toggle status is automatically changed to reflect their present attendance, and an activity log entry is added to their registration to indicate this as well.

NOTE — If your event is configured as a single event on Corsizio but consists of multiple date sessions, then you can only use the export method to collect attendance for each date session. The toggle method is only meant to work for single-date events. You can always add an "internal remark" to make notes about attendance or absence on specific registrations.

Additional Tips

If you have a high rate of absenteeism at your event(s), consider the following actions:

  • Send out event reminders through Corsizio and other applicable means to encourage attendance.
  • Charge a non-refundable fee or collect a non-refundable deposit during online registration for your event to encourage attendance.

Next Steps

After your event has finished and you have a record of the attendance, you may wish to take one or more of the following actions:

For the most accurate and best record-keeping, it is not recommended that you cancel a registration for anyone who was absent. You can leave an internal note on their registration to document their absence.
