Currencies accepted for online payments
Corsizio facilitates event registrations and payments. We are a Canadian company but your attendees can be from different countries or you may choose to use Corsizio's service in another country, in which case several other currencies may be used, as outlined below.

Corsizio Supported Currencies
If you choose to accept online payments from your attendees, Corsizio currently supports the following currencies:
- USD — American dollar
- CAD — Canadian dollar
- EUR — European euro
- GBP — British pound
- AUD — Australian dollar
- NZD — New Zealand dollar
- PLN — Polish zloty
- DDK — Danish krone
- NOK — Norwegian krone
- SEK — Swedish krona
- SGD — Singapore dollar
- MXN — Mexican peso
NOTE — If you are only using offline payments on the account and do not plan to accept online payments, then you may use other currencies not mentioned above. Refer to the Payment Settings within the app.
Setting a Currency for Your Corsizio Account
Each Corsizio account can only be set to one currency. This means that every event within that account will have the same currency. This also means that anyone in the world can register and pay for one of your events, but they cannot choose to use their own currency. The customer would simply use their payment card to make an online payment for their event registration and their bank would make the appropriate conversion to their card's currency. This also ensures that the event organizer receives the correct amount of funds in the currency set on their account.
To set a currency for your account, follow these steps:
STEP 1: From your Corsizio dashboard, go to your account Settings and select Payment Settings from the left-side menu.
STEP 2: Set the "Currency used for this account" and configure any other applicable payment information, such as tax information.
STEP 3: When you have finished with the configuration, "Save payment settings".
NOTE — The currency for the account must be set during the initial account creation and configuration. The currency should not be changed on an account that has already processed any payments because it will cause discrepancies in the monetary figures.
Multiple Currency Options for Different Events
You cannot accept different currencies for different events on the same Corsizio account. Suppose you are part of an organization that hosts different events in different parts of the world using different currencies. In that case, you can create a different Corsizio account under your user login for each regional business and its currency.
This will allow you to collect payment from your attendees in each different country in the currency of that country and have the funds deposited in that currency into your Stripe account. For this to be possible, your Stripe account needs to be able to accept and hold multiple currencies as well. Otherwise, Stripe will convert any funds that are not in the currency set on the Stripe account with a conversion fee. For more information, read Stripe's help doc about Currency conversions and see the "Currencies for Your Payouts" section below.
To create a new account, go to the user navigation menu in the top right-hand corner and select "Create Another New Account." Then, configure this account with the different currency you need, as per the steps described above.
NOTE — Multiple Corsizio accounts are only for completely different businesses or business divisions, such as different regions or departments of a large organization. A single business or individual cannot create multiple Corsizio accounts.
Multiple Currency Options for the Same Event
You cannot accept different currencies for the same event in your Corsizio account. As shared earlier, each Corsizio account can only be set to one currency.
The solution is to use the default currency for your account that will apply to all of your events, and when your attendees register for an event, they will pay as normal, using a payment card in their own currency. Their bank will make the necessary conversions for any foreign currency transactions they make. Consequently, their payment card statement will show them the transaction in their currency, and you will receive the funds in your country's currency, which is set for your Stripe and connected bank account.
ALERT — Do not create multiple Corsizio accounts for the same event or the same business. Splitting the same event between multiple accounts will prevent you from having all the attendee and financial data for the single event together and may create record keeping and tax reporting problems.
Currencies for Your Payouts
You can receive payouts to associated bank accounts in different currencies depending on the country where you are based. For example:
- If you are located in Canada, you can accept funds in both CAD and USD.
- Most European accounts can accept the following six currencies: EUR, GBP, USD, DKK, CHF, NOK, and SEK.
For full details about currencies supported in your country and any associated conversion fees, please see Stripe's documentation about supported currencies.
