Account terminology labels and language

When setting up and configuring your account to create event pages and registration forms, you can change some of the default terminology used to refer to events, attendees, instructors, and the registration action.

Additionally, while Corsizio operates fully in English, you can choose a different translation of system labels and terminology from a few select languages if you target event attendees outside of English-speaking countries. Any such translated terminology is reflected on public-facing pages for your audience, which includes your portal site, event pages, registration forms, emails, feedback forms, and the attendee self-serve page.

Terminology Label Options

Corsizio is a general event registration platform and not a custom solution for any specific business. However, we provide several account terminology options to help you succeed with your event registrations. This allows you to override and choose the desired terms for the entire account so that you can display labels with the terminology that is most appropriate for your event needs, as follows:

  • "Event" may be changed to Class, Course, Lesson, Training, Session, Workshop, Conference, Program, Meeting, Tour, or Trip.
  • "Instructor" may be changed to Facilitator, Teacher, Coach, Trainer, Tutor, Guide, Presenter, Speaker, Leader, Director, or Host.
  • "Attendee" may be changed to Participant, Student, Applicant, Learner, Player, or Guest.
  • "Register/Registration" may be changed to Enroll/Enrollment, Book/Booking, Sign Up/Signup, or Apply/Application.

How to Change Account Terminology Labels

To change a specific label, follow these steps:

STEP 1: From your Corsizio dashboard, use the primary navigation menu at the top to go to Settings.

STEP 2: From the left-side menu, select Configurations, and then select Terminology.

STEP 3: Use the "Choose" dropdown menu for each label you want to change.

STEP 4: After finishing this configuration, Save terminology labels before leaving this area.

Localization and Translation of Public Pages and Emails

If you target event attendees outside of English-speaking countries, Corsizio currently provides translation of the customer user interface in French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Dutch.

These translations apply to all system labels and text displayed on all event public pages and emails exposed to attendees

To change the language on public pages, follow these steps:

STEP 1: From your Corsizio dashboard, use the primary navigation menu at the top to go to Settings.

STEP 2: From the left-side menu, select Configurations, and then select Terminology.

STEP 3: Select the preferred language using the "English" dropdown menu.

STEP 4: After finishing this configuration, Save localization before leaving this area.

NOTE — It is not possible to translate any of Corsizio's internal dashboard areas. Our entire platform and support are only provided in English.

Other Localization and Translation Options

  • To provide your audience with the event information in their language, you can write your event title and the entire event description in that language.
  • If your audience comes from many different language-speaking countries, you may wish to leave everything in English and simply rely on built-in browser translation tools that most people have readily accessible today when navigating the web and viewing pages in other languages.
  • Changing the localization language of public pages, as outlined above, also changes the date and time format to match the chosen area.
  • You can modify the localization language and time zone of a specific event independently from the localization of the entire account. This option is available in the "Primary Info" section of Step 1 — Main Details when creating or editing the event.
