Event or Registration Pages Not Rendering Correctly

All Corsizio public pages (portal sites, event pages, and registration forms) function as expected when viewed on up-to-date web browsers, do not experience interference from external services, and are not manipulated in any way.

On rare occasions, one of your event registrants may report an anomaly on one of these pages that prevents them from registering or paying for an event due to missing or incorrectly displayed components, such as:

    • Missing or hidden "Register" button (Enrol, Sign up, etc.) on the portal site or event page
    • Missing or hidden "Payment" button on the registration form
    • Inability to fill out a form field

This may occur due to one or more of the following reasons that are coming from the registrant's device and not from Corsizio:

Each of these will be described in more detail below, along with how to solve them.

Using an insecure or outdated web browser

Insecure and outdated web browsers, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) or an old Safari browser on a Mac device, are no longer supported by most online services and companies like Microsoft or Apple themselves. Web pages and forms will usually not render properly if someone uses outdated browsers. Google and others will not trust traffic from such browsers to properly render sensitive forms, such as payment information, on your registration forms.

SOLUTION

  • Use a modern and up-to-date web browser.
  • Use a different browser, such as the latest and most up-to-date Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.

Using various web component-blocking browser extensions

Various web extensions, such as ad blockers, script blockers, and automated translation extensions, can interfere with the proper display and function of web forms. If the person attempting to register for an event has any of these extensions enabled on their browser, they will be unable to complete the registration process.

SOLUTION

  • Disable any interfering web extensions or complete the registration on a different device without such extensions, which may interfere with the registration form.
  • Use an incognito or private browsing session, which usually disables all extensions, allowing all web components to appear.

Using a VPN or Proxy service that interferes with some web pages

Some VPN and Proxy services can prevent forms from working properly.

SOLUTION

  • Disable any interfering VPN or Proxy service.
  • Complete the registration on a different network.

Temporary Internet Outages

There can be a momentary or temporary internet outage on the customer's end, on Google's end, or anywhere along the path of the Internet network that the customer is on. This will prevent various web functions, like web pages, from rendering properly.

SOLUTION

  • Ensure a stable internet connection.
  • Try the registration at a later time.

Other Solutions to Consider

  • Clear the browser cache and cookies, as these can sometimes cause issues with website functionality.
  • Ensure that JavaScript is enabled in the browser settings, as this is necessary for the proper functioning of many website features.
  • Ensure that the event page or registration form has not been manipulated in any other way.

SUMMARY — Outdated web browsers, various web extensions, internet outages, and some VPN services and Proxy networks can prevent web pages from working correctly.

Ask the person to try the registration on a completely different device and/or different browser and/or in a private browser window or Incognito session and/or on a different network or IP address and/or at a later time.
